600 Brickell as a $310 million, 40-story, Class A, pre-certified, LEED Platinum, high-rise office tower with scalable connectivity, an internal data center, state-of-the-art security and power monitoring. The project consists of approximately 1 million square feet.

Project Description: The Villages is one of the largest age-restricted, active adult communities in the world. It spans three counties, three zip codes and more than 20,000 acres. It consists of 56,268 houses, 100 miles of golf cart legal streets and trails, retail establishments, restaurants, banks, post offices, healthcare centers and countless recreational amenities.

Fountainebleau II Hotel Condominium Resort  | Miami Beach, Florida

Date: 2001-2005

Principal: John Breistol, Senior Manager – Turnberry Associates

Project Description: Breistol directly led the design, government approval, development and construction processes of this phased project while simultaneously maintaining an operating hotel during renovations and construction. He led the effort to move Highway AIA 150 feet to the south, traded land with the State of Florida, built a new AIA road, relocated major utilities, modified medians and removed Fontainebleau mural wall.

Fointanebleau II Hotel Condo Resort was a $240 million, 37-story, luxury hotel condominium tower with 465 luxury units, an amenity deck, arrival court and spine connector to the existing 1954 Fontainebleau Hotel.

Everglades on the Bay | Miami, Florida

Date: 2006

Project Description: Everglades on the Bay consists of two residential skyscrapers –  North Tower and the South Tower – as well as a retail center. Both towers are 538 feet tall with 49 floors. The towers provide retail on the street level and residential units on the remaining floors.

The amenities include tiki bars, spa, amenities deck, yoga and aerobics, party rooms, among others.

Miami International Airport South Terminal | Miami, Florida

Date: 2007

Principal:  Carlos Serrano, Project Manager – Turner Construction

Project Description: MIA South Terminal was  a 1.7-million-square-foot architectural gem providing a model to future airport design worldwide. The South Terminal expansion included more than 800,000 square feet of exterior and interior curtain wall and facade systems. The extensive use of glass in the facade system is intended to flood natural light throughout the expansion’s 28 new gates, creating a relaxed atmosphere while also easing navigation throughout the concourse areas.

Sunrise Harbor | Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Date: 1999-2000

Project Description: Breistol led the construction team that built and delivered the property, completing the project six weeks ahead of schedule. The project was awarded the National Association of Home Builders’ “Pillar Award” as the best multifamily development in the United States in 2001.

Sunrise Harbor consists of high-end retail and residential development, including a four-acre floating mega yacht marina, approximately 650,000 square feet of residential and 7,000 square feet of retail space. The property includes two 16-story residential towers with 368 units and a six-story parking structure with 735 parking spaces.

San Felipe Plaza | Houston, Texas

Project Description: San Felipe Plaza is a 46-story office tower located west of the Uptown Houston district in Houston, Texas.  It’s modern architectural design combines visible elements of two other SOM Houston projects: Wells Fargo Plaza and Enterprise Plaza. Containing 959,466 square feet of leasing space, the building is the sixteenth tallest in the city and is the second-tallest building outside of downtown. It is in proximity to the Houston Galleria.

Jackie Gleason Performing Arts Center | Miami Beach, Florida

Project Description: Breistol managed the complete renovation and expansion of an existing 135,000-square-foot historic theater to include 10,000 square feet for a symphony and ballet rehearsal hall. The theater was originally constructed in 1949 as a flat floor arena used for sporting events and television shows.

Southern Regional Waste Water Treatment Plant | Palm Beach, Florida

Project Description: Southern Regional Waste Water Treatment Plant is an $80 million project. Breistol managed the construction of 17 concrete structures comprised of 200,000 square feet, including four-story pre-treatment and administration buildings, final clarifier complex, two three-million gallon aeration tanks, effluent filter, re-use facility,three-story anaerobic digester complex, solids processing facility,  lower/chlorine buildings and a standby power plant for emergency power.

Arcosanti | Pheonix, Arizona

Project Description: Arcosanti is an 860-acre experimental city in the high desert of Arizona, 70 miles north of metropolitan Phoenix and dubbed an arcology by visionary architect Paolo Solari. Built by more than 7,000 volunteers since the commencement of the project in 1970, Arcosanti is a futuristic, self-contained, solar-energized, waste-free community providing various mixed-use buildings and public spaces for up to 3,500 inhabitants.
